Palmira is a journalist by profession, currently working as Program Officer for Natural Resources and Gender at SEKELEKANI, member of CCIE – Civic Coalition for Extractive Industry which is a member of PWYP. Her task is to carry out Gender research in communities affected by the impact of the extractive industry. She has articles published on SEKELEKANI, and CIVILINFO sites, newspapers (national) and some international websites.

She served for 12 years for the Association of Women in Social Communication (AMCS) and N’thiyana Community Radio as executive director. More than a decade was also a trainer of trainers on gender and media issues across the country.
