As Senior Regional Coordinator of Publish What You Pay in Francophone West Africa, Demba SEYDI joined the PWYP Secretariat in May 2017. Among other responsibilities, Demba is in charge of representing and promoting a high profile brand for PWYP at the regional level. He will guide the advocacy efforts of PWYP’s members; support and develop the capacity of member coalitions in the region to enhance their effectiveness to achieve PWYP’s common goals and involvement in global initiatives. He’ll also contribute towards the development and implementation of strategic plans, governance mechanisms and effective teamwork for the PWYP Secretariat.
Demba previously worked as Extractive Industries Regional Programme Officer in Oxfam West Africa Regional Office. His position in Oxfam allowed to work with lots of PWYP Coalitions in West Africa and around the world. He holds a Masters in International Relations and is a PhD candidate in Public Law/International Relations at the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (Senegal). He speaks French, English and Spanish.
